dots Color Split
The dots Color Split option identifies the color and black & white pages in a print job. Once determined, the print status can still be modified – either for the entire print job or for individual pages. For instance, you can set black & white mode for pages containing non-essential color elements such as hyperlinks in color type.
Output on one or two printing systems
The dots Color Split option enables you to choose between production on a single color system or on two printing systems, one color and one black & white.
Output on a single color system with separate clicks for color and black & white
If your color printer has separate counters for color and black & white pages, each page will be counted appropriately – as either color or black & white. The dots Color Split option provides perfect control over the number of color and black & white clicks.
Output on two printing systems, one color and one black & white
You also have the option of splitting production of the print job between a color printer and black & white printer. First, the color pages are printed on a color system. The next step is production of the black & white pages on a black & white printer. During this process, an interposer automatically merges the color pages into the black & white page output stream at the appropriate points. Your benefit The dots Color Split option helps enterprises substantially reduce their costs by avoiding non-essential color prints.
