Printgroove JT 5 presented at the European Leadership Conference 2013

The European Leadership Conference 2013, which took place on October 25th in Barcelona, offered an outlook to future trends and product developments to Konica Minolta's retail partners. The conference focused on IT services and software solutions which are becoming more and more important. Here our Printgroove JT 5 products take a prominent place in Konica Minolta's product portfolio.

More than 1.100 retail partners from all over Europe attended this year's European Leadership Conference and used the opportunity to take a first hand look at new products and solutions from Konica Minolta. The motto "Wevolution" had an impact on the whole event: How can Konica Minolta and their retail partners together with their customers develop stable future concepts? What will be the future business models?

The development is clearly moving away from pure delivery of suitable hardware in form of printers. Hardware still has high priority but meanwhile Konica Minolta offers much more than that. Now the focus is on advising the customer during the whole business process and delivering the right solutions to their requirments. This may be the right hardware but now also IT services and software solutions for optimizing workflows play an important role in the product range.

The majority of Konica Minolta's customers are medium-sized businesses. For those customers cloud-based services are an attractive alternative to regular software solutions because there's no need for purchasing and hosting own server architecture. In addition these customers are looking for solutions which help to automate workflows and which can be combined with third party applications.

For both requirements Printgroove JT products offer sustainable solutions: Our web-to-print application Printgroove JT Web is already available as hosted version (Software as a Service) and can so be used without the need of investments in server and computer hardware. Printgroove JT Man becomes more and more the central solution for the print room especially as it was shown on the European Leadership Conference: At the event a prototype installation was easily connected to other applications and allowed it to establish new workflows. It is planned to make this functionality availabe in the future standard version of the software.
